We have bought an Iveco Daily high top motorhome conversion and having trawled the internet for a drive awy cannot come up with a definite fit for this vehicle. Has anyone got experience with a successful fit? We think the van is 9feet 9inches high but when we mention this to awning sellers they don't come up with a definite. Surely there are taller vans than this that awanings fit? Any help would be much appreciated ta.

Do you want the awning to fit on the side or the rear of the van?

Does the side have an awning rail on it already?

9 feet seems to be the maximum height that most will reach.

Hi bordercaz, when the conversion was done the rear doors were taken away and there is a rather large window fitted with better double glazing than we have at home! So it will be a side awning. There is a 4m Fiamma awning attached but we've decided against a privacy room as the phaff of un-coupling it and coupling it every time we leave the site would drive me bananas. I spoke to Riversway leisure today and she gave me some ideas but none definite. I can't believe that there isn't an awning out there that won't break the bank. I also think that we will be out with a better measuring device when 'im indoors returns from work.Cheers

If you have a roll out Fiamma awning you have all you need to attach a drive away awning( without faffing about) The rail itself has a channel all along the front of it. Look at Outdoor Revolution website, they show on it the best? simplest way of attaching and awning, cost about 25.00 all in. It consists of a double edge webbing, and what is called a figure of 8 rail for you to run into your fitted awning front/leading edge, and the other to your awning of choice. Awnings are much of a muchness , kyham expensive but very quick to errect without much fuss or faffing. Outdoor revolution quite a bit cheaper, but very good, with all the attachments included for inner tent etc.Good value and only weighs in at 14kg. Take a look at site, various colours etc...decide what would suit your needs and check the web again for adverts for them 2nd hand /new. They can be used closed all round, with curtains etc, or opened up during day with all sides neatly stowed down the 4 corners. The tunnel on the O. Revolution ones are quite tall, our van is over 9ft, and we just roll out our canopy/ awning a little way in order to reach the rail, attach and then wind the awning rail back in as far as needed. Hope this helps.
