Could someone please assist me with choosing a route between J29 M5,up to Minehead CC site(suitable for a 7mtr+ motorhome)....

I did initially think that I should look at getting off a J27(Tiverton)and heading up the A396,which takes us to Dunster(..although I seem to recall doing the "reverse" of this route some years back,in a smaller van..and thinking then,it quite "tight" in places..).However on checking out a couple of "online route planners",neither use that route...

AA Routefinder takes me off a J26 and then to Taunton and up the A358(Williton)....

Google Maps,also takes me off at J26..but then seems to lose the plot and sends me up a mixture of B and unclassified roads?...

Has anyone got any preferences as to which route they would/do use?

Yep..so Taunton and the A396 it is then..

We'll be in no rush..we're attending a couple of music festivals later in the year(one on Escot Park,nr Honiton and the second at Watchet)and we'll be spending a few days inbetween (showering and doing washing! )at the CC site at Minehead...
