Today I sold my Motorhome and therefore this will be my last message. I wanted to take the opportunity to thank members for their help over the years.I have enjoyed my time on the road, but sadly my wife became seriously ill with cancer and travel became too difficult,as she loved her motorhome it was felt that the motorhome should go.Sadly she lost her battle and to see "her" van parked on the drive with so many memories was just too much.

So thanks once again, please go out there and enjoy, live life to the full, special thanks to Kernow camper for his wonderful blogs which brought back so many happy memories of cornwall.

Best wishes

Alvan

I am so sorry for your loss. I understand about the 'memories in the drive'. Maybe as time passes you will be able to look more fondly on the wonderful trips you and your beloved wife had in the motorhome. Maybe, in time, even get yourself a little pop top to visit some of the places you were so happy in.

(((hugs))) to you Alvan.

Sorry you lost your Mrs, and now the van. Only you knows as to whether its 'what she would have wanted' in selling the van. But, travelling alone from here on wouldnt have been that much fun had you kept it. Good luck for the future.

Hi Alvan

I am so sorry to hear your very sad news, our thoughts are with you.

We hope that one day you'll decide to 'camp' again and come down and enjoy Cornwall (and maybe look us up?!).

It really touches me that people read our blog and enjoy it, as much as we enjoy our travels and keeping you all up-to-date.

It doesn't have to be your last post Alvan, keep checking back and keep in touch.

We're off to Wales for 2 weeks on Friday so our blog will be updated later in June if you fancy a look.

Thanks again for our mention, it really does mean a lot.

Sorry to hear about your wife, Alvan. I felt the same when my husband died, his car went back as it was a company car and I sold the caravan.

3 weeks later I was working out what my car could tow and within a month I had another van.

10 years on and I know I did the right thing, the kids still got their camping holidays and now they're grown I get away on my own as much as I can.
