here's a couple of forums I'am a member of, the first is mainly fulltimers
www.motorhome365.com
the second also has a lot of fulltimers and also a lot of RV users, first five post's are free but after that there is a yearly subscription of £10, I think the info, and the possible meets are worth the fee, there are also a couple of RV's up for sale at the moment, you can find it here;
www.motorhomefun.co.uk
have to say it's a great life we have been doing it since November 2006 first using a caravan, but I have just finished building a motorhome for us based on a 7.5 ton Iveco Eurocargo, been using that for the last month or two,
------------- here today , where tomorrow?
yet another full timer,

Thanks for the links. will definitely check them out. this is something i've always wanted to do. i love hearing that 'its a great life' thats re-assuring.
OH has spoken to his boss and we have permission to park there during the week. as was concerned we'd end up with no-where to park, and be shooed away like gypsies.
do you have a fixed site? or are you pretty much traveling constant? do you ever get any problems? we have to stay local for work. so can only travel during holidays and weekends.
We are much as you seem to be , I still have to work so we have to stay within a reasonable distance, a friend of ours has a CS site so we stay there more or less all the time with the occasinal night or two away, even though we could stay on our family business premises I prefer to get away from work .Once you get going search out the local CL's / CS's most owners will become more helpfull as they get to know you and it;s a break and a chance to meet people at the weekends at minimal cost,

Thanks guys. the finances are moving forward now so hopefully not long before we're joining you all :)
I am very unsure of the batteries and power sources, and have visions of becoming a right hitler over anything being turned on. i hear people say oh it lasts ages, but i need to know exactly how long 'ages' is, i know it depends on usage.
my OH spoke to local dealer the other day and he was really dismissive about solar panels. i think they are a fab idea and definitely something we should have, so i need to go back to the dealer and ask why he was dismissive, from what my OH says he didnt think they'd be effective enough to worry about.
Also concerned with availability of sewage outlets. i know of one locally, but it along the canal for the boats, not accessable to us. is it only certain camp sites that have an effluent tank we can empty into or are there any anywhere else?
My biggest concern is warmth and safety. i have a very pampered parrot, and his safety and comfort is paramount to me. i can easily wrap up to keep warm, but he will need adequate heating. i think we've been planning this so long, my mind has covered all mannner of worries and thoughts lol. its such a big thing to do. just want to e as prepared as possible.
and where can i buy 'the special toilet paper' i dont think they do it at tesco do they?
