I have just bought a Renault Trafic SWB van that was professionally converted to a campervan and includes poptop and bed :)
Thrilled to have joined campervan world! Just got to sell my beloved folding camper sometime soon though and it has been a labour of love so will be sad when he goes! But looking forward to just jumping in the van Friday nights after work and off we go!

Fantastic, I'm sure you'll have great adventures. Remember to do the campervan wave when you're driving and see other campervans
I still struggle with this, the amount of people I've missed is unbelievable!
Mine isn't an older camper, it is a conversion on a Renault Trafic SWB van so not sure would be eligible for the 'group' as they are all 'proper' style campers!! One day hope to get a bigger camper but this is our first step!

Me too, I always see other campervans when I need both hands on the steering wheel. Other drivers may see me pulling a strange face at them and shouting "campervan" at them. It's my own unique greeting

I think I've seen you! Although lots don't wave
You probably have, I live in Hull! I also tend to forget that I'm not always in the van and wave at campervans when I'm driving the car. I tend to get very strange looks when I do this

When I had a Trafic-based camper I was a member of the RTMR and they were very useful - quite a lot of knowledge of the non-camper parts of a Trafic, which was handy, as mine was unwell for a while!
