i have a 1998 t4 compass calypso i have just had a tow bar and scooter carrier fitted the back end of the motorhome seems a bit low and thats without the scooter and my other stuff for spain any one know how to get the back end up about 2" any advice welcome
another thing is the warning reflector board on the rear can you have normal red vinal stripes or has it got to be reflective. thanks alan.
A friend has one of these - with a bike carrier on the back - and they are very much prone to this. It's probably due to the fact that with a rear kitchen and shower they are quite a rear-heavy design.
One form of spring assister or another may help, but I would seriously suggest you check whether a scooter will overload your rear axle. If you get pulled in to one of the VOSA random stops, it ~will~ be checked.
I had T4 autohome explorer and this peolpe helped me out , bear in mind it was many many moons ago, www.grayston.biz and their email is sales at grayston.biz, they do do spring helpers for the T4 so give them a buzz or email. phone n.02089741122 hope that hepls a bit, ciao
we used to have a scooter rack on a calypso,1996. and had no probs with it being low, maybe the rear springs/shocks are tired now, what weight is the rack/ scooter we were told 200kg max. so it limits what bike you have?

Just a long shot but I’m thinking of doing the same. Have you any drawings and photos of the fittings.

Unlikely you will get much response as the original thread is 11 years old and I don't recognise many, if any of the names of the posters in it. They are probably no longer members.
