....unfortunately some do stay along time . even brag about it .but a night or two isnt harming really. you can pay and stay in the carpark by the old station house...

That's the trouble though isn't it...some people do take the p*ss..

So maybe a 24 or 48hr max stay,is called for?....but that would  "cost",due to having to monitor/"police" it....

hi. yes but i can say the police do monitor it . if you are over the lines its a ticket.
one of my friends actually is a local bobby there . he reckons its a fuss over nothing.
just sour grapes . but be interesting to hear, i shall let you know.
i might suggest aires else where ,after all it does seem like the right time to mention it .

We were at Marazion in June and there were loads of motorhomes on the "apron" in front of the castle.  We didn't dare park there, firstly we would feel awkward blocking people's view and OH wasn't happy leaving the motorhome right next to the road.

The car park 50 yards down the road with the little kiosk is much better.  Cost us £4.00 for all day and we had plenty of room with a fab view.  I don't think £4.00 is that bad for Cornwall seeing as a car is £3.00.

I think the issue is that folk are pitching up and sleeping there...and not just parking-up,whilst "visiting" the area...

I'd assume that "overnighting" wouldn't be allowed at those carparks..?

Either way..I wouldn't have thought that folk pitching 20ft plus MHs on the seafront, between the seawall and the road,is really in the, supposed, spirit of  "Wildcamping"..?..

(..although,for getting you head down for one, free, night, whilst touring,I can see why folk would do it...)

right just got back from the parish council meeting . it seems there as been a try in the past to get that stretch of road as a cycle way .that would restrict all parking .that as been put to one side . there is noew the idea of restrivcted parking possibly no over night .
it will also be recommended to cornwall council.
there isnt really camping allopwede on the carparks . parking over night is . thne council realise that they dont want to stop tourists and continious monitoring is to follow . i explained the eu directives used by oun ties such as spain portugal etc in regards parking isnt camping .but nothing must be outside the vehicle .it was noted.
every one accepts its blown out of proportion and the monitoring will see how it goes .
the campsite where there .but really kept going on about toilet emptying even not liking the use of the public toilets but it was really an issue with the council . ilegal tipping will be part of the monitoring .hopefully if there was any it will stop.
hope that helps .cheers alan.

Thanks for keeping us informed Alan...

Although,as some of my posts have probably indictated,I'm not the biggest fan of the outright cheek and general p*ss taking of some "wildcamping" MHers but as appears  as if pitching on the stretch has be "accepted" for many years now,it would perhaps be a shame if it was just stopped, rather than just looking into restrictions (or maybe small fees...?)

I must say though..it's a great view from there ..

(..Just looked again,on Google earth...and the sun is still shinning!  )
