Hi everyone, just wondering, has anyone found the answer for a small table for inside the van for just as a coffee/supper table. I have looked at the circular base, the round tube, and the circular fitting for underneath the actual table top...all very nicely priced, no problem. The fitting of these however, would be for me, a major job, and not one which I would fancy to take on. Requiring the cutting into the floor to be able to fix the 'tubeholding' circular base plate, into some solid wood. I know that this base plate can be bought as a conical fitting also, rather than the recessed type, but the screws still require a 'sound' foothold in order that they do not pull out, or indeed the table wobble. Any freestanding small table which you could recommend, that would hold 2 cups of coffee, mabe a book, and certainly a buscuit or two, that is not too heavy, would be appreciated. Thanx.

Have you got any wall space for a drop-down flap anywhere? bit of piano hinge and a couple of stays would do the job.

Hi, i bought a tripod foot base, length of tube that fits into the base, then a base plate to screw onto the underside of the table, then i made a table top, whole lot breaks down, but, the good thing is that you can also use it outside the van.

Bigmoney2, cheers for that although argos link would NOT...but I have checked anyway, and Wilkinsons are out of stock of the ones shown...spose thats a price thing...going going oops its gone! Artc, I wish that I was clever, I am NOT, do you have a picture of this table at all please. The reason I say I am not clever is...I would not know how to get a picture on here, and I am asking you to do it. ( and again please if you can) Listerdiesel, sorry need it to be freestanding...between HIM/HER just forward of cab seats tar though, had thought about it myself...but the Queen needs it in front of the both of us.

For what the OP is describing, we use the wooden/laminated sink insert placed on the centre cushion. Its big enough to act as a 'tea tray' for a couple of pots and plates. And saves carrying anything else to do the same job.
