Hi our Motorhome is due its first MOT next week since we have owned it. Can anyone recommend a good place to take it in the TS20 area (North East of England). Also how much roughly we should be expecting to pay?
Hello you should be able to take it to any MOT station as long as they do to class 5 vehicles and you should only pay the price of a normal MOT (£35 - £50).....sorry not local to teeside so don't know anywhere!
The real problem is not the MOT, but finding a garage that is large enough to accomodate a motorhome. Not local to your area, but I've always looked for garages that deal with light commercial or agricultural vehicles. They generally have the capacity to deal with bigger vans etc..
------------- Two drifters off to see the world.
I'm tired of reality, so I'm off to look for a good fantasy.
We live in Lancs and always take our to the Lancs County Council depot...the one where they repair/MOT the Council service vehicles. The cost to us is that of a normal MOT.
Another way is to find out where the local motorhome dealers send theirs...we just asked the question and were told straightaway - this cuts out the middleman!!
Good luck
------------- Life's not a rehearsal..don't put it off DO IT NOW!
Try your local council they all will carry out an mot but will not do repairs so they have no axe to grind in looking for work. They cam mot a bus so motor homes are no problem, but you will have to book it in first. Good luck...
------------- We are a little mad, just some more than others
Thanks for all your help again everyone, I managed to find a garage locally and they were very friendly and approachable. Would definately recommend them;
