Is anyone using a Romahome R20 Lo (or High) or a Wheelhome Skarpa type motorhome or similar ? I am interested in your experiences and views on them please. Thanks in advance

Hi, Dont know anything about either, sorry. However as of last weekend I am aware of a SMALL MOTORHOME FORUM...thats all I typed in, and up it comes.Spoke with a couple last weekend who were in a Romahome.Maybe this will bring some replies for you.
Thanks Austins, could be worth a look. Going down to the NEC shortly to have a good look around. Been put off VW by reports of steering column failures on T5's and other mechanical problems so considering other makes. There seems lots of choice and we have enough experience to know what will suit our needs. Cannot wait !

Hi, not using just yet but just bought a Skarpa and awaiting delivery in Feb/March. Ive been looking at motorhomes for 3 years (so hardly an impulsive decision) and wanted something I could use as a sole vehicle, plenty of room for 3, with the ability to sleep 3 but still fit in a car parking space and return a decent mpg. Skarpa was the only one that ticked all my boxes plus Stephen Wheeler must be the nicest guy I've had the good fortune to meet. My daughter was so impressed she bought a second hand Daneste off him the same week!
I looked at the Romahomes (the old R20 Lo is what I thought I was going to buy 3 years ago when I first got interested) but, for me, too many compromises (which I'm not very good at!). I took my girls (and their boyfriends) to the NEC in October to look at everything and, it all just felt a bit cramped. Lovely interior finish though but nowhere to really lounge and oly slept 2!
You might also take a look at Wheelhomes new model, the Skurry. It's also based on the Fiat Doblo but is the short wheelbased version so is about 33cm shorter than the Skarpa and will likely return a few more mpg.
As for VWs, just couldn't see a layout I liked and few had a sliding rear bench so the person at the front was off by themselves - no good for me.
The Small Motorhome Forum is a good call. Good hunting!
