I need to mask my headlights (2013 Fiat Ducato/Laika Kreos 5009) when I visit the UK next year. My Fiat dealer drew a blank when I asked about patches for the headlights - not a usual question here in Germany it seems.
I know a lot of you travel in Europe so must have the answer, just that I need them for the opposite effect when in the UK. The headlights are clear glass so not so easy as with previous vehicles I have had. I had to experiment with my KIA Ceed headlights until I got the right area to mask with black tape, but the Ducato headlights are a lot bigger.
Halfords sell them, go to www.halfords.com they have a sheet included in the pack that shows you how to use them on the clear lens, worked fine on my Transit

Thanks, but these will be for RHD UK vehicles driving over here. I need them opposite way around, for me driving my LHD RV in the UK.

Bingo! I checked the Halfords website and found their headlight set. I saw the manufacturer's name (Eurolites) so did a search to find their website. These are also available via Amazon (UK) so did a search in Amazon (D) and found the exact same product but for driving in the UK. So thanks, you put me on the right track after all!
My motorhome is based on a Peugeot Boxer and I was thinking of putting masks on the headlights but in the end decided against it. What I do is adjust the headlights to the lowest position and that seems to work OK. Although I tend not to drive at night you do have to have headlights on in poor visibility, something we got quite a lot of this year in Germany and France and it did not seem to cause any issues. Suggest you do the same before sticking anything on the plastic and see how you get on.
If you look on ebay there are plastic headlights covers that will act as protectors and they already have the masking attached, on my last motorhome a ford transit mk 7 I left them on all the times and it never affected the mot either
