Are fiat Ducato exhausts standard or are they specific to the Motorhome they are fitted to. Today my exhaust came adrift on my Swift gazelle which is a 2000 2.8 ducato. where do I start looking for a new replacement. Any advice would be very welcome.
Many Thanks.

The coachbuilt motorhome is built on a chassis with an original Fiat engine installed so it should be a standard exhaust that fits the Ducato model. The accommodation bit is not relevant, it's the engine exhaust manifold and chassis locations where the exhaust pipe and silencer fit that's important but any replacement exhaust centre such as Kwik-fit should be able to tell you anyway.

All the manufacturers seem to alter things to suit themselves. We had a quote for £300 for just the downpipe We ended up with a company called LONGLIFE They are a national chain and specialise in "one off" stainless steel exhausts. Our complete exhaust system including fitting cost £320 inc VAT

Right Boppintone
Is your van on a standard chassis with a standard exhaust? if so K&G auto factors in Keighley have one in stock 01535 606600, only know this cos it wouldn't fit my van full one piece system about £90 i think
If your on an Alco chassis you will have to have one made as it's in five parts, i got mine made in stainless from Exhaustafix in Darlington 01325 362271, they can accommodate most motorhomes except tag axles. i cant reccommened these guys enough, sorted me out without the oo's ahh's they advertise if they can't buy it they will make it, as my boxes were already in stainless & in good nick they made all the connecting pipes in stainless to suit, as these were made from the cheapest stuff possible cost me £225 only took a morning to make too

It did The van is now very much quieter. I now notice the road noise rather than the exhaust which was noticable even before the down pipe broke
Ndidi's Krall is where Sir Henry Rawlinson lived. It's a bit like Mboto Gorge where Capt Blackadder won his MC...

Many thanks to all who helped me, I got fixed up close to home in Knaresborough, it was simply a standard exhaust, although I do have an Alco chassis, Swift must simply use the standard one rather than complicate matters by having fabricated ones. Cost me £180 including VAT and fitted but needed it done quick so I'm reasonably happy.
Thanks agaain Chaps
