Evening,
You are never to young to get out and about, we used to camping when both our kids were babies make the most of it.In our old motorhome I knocked up a make shift bed that went across both the front seats. So this might be worth looking at.

Keep the motor homes rolling
Yeap i will second that, in my old T2 i purchased a ready made bed that consisted of 2 poles and canvas that stretched accross the 2 front seat, i think thet are still available if you spend abit of time doing a search, at the time my yungest was one and he slept on that contraption without ever falling out if clever enough you could probably make one yourself with a bit of DIY skill.
I've got one of these ...excellent bit of kit..though I put a bit of foam on it...if you wind the back of the seat up a bit the wee yin cant fall out...
We haven't taken the toddler grandaughters away yet, but OH is considering making a wooden bed for one to fit across the rim of the roof edge, once the soft top is up. At present, we have a few planks of wood across there, useful for stowing things on whilst we are camped, and are left in place as we travel.
Have you thought about one of the pop up cots we had one of the small ones and then a bigger one...we used it in the folding camper and a tent! They are very compact when folded up I even took ours to the beach to use as sun cover for the baby!
We wouldn't have space for a pop up cot. Once the bed is down, there's only a very small piece of floor space left, and the seats are moulded and separate.
What about a board across the two molded seats and the pop up cot on top, We've done that with a kids blow up air bed in a transporter. He slept fine but would sleep on a washing line so....
Spotted this ,as we are looking to buy a motorhome, so have wandered in here from the camping forum :)
No idea if you have the floor space to have one of these but they are great, and fold down to pretty much nothing. it will stop the baby rolling off or getting stuck. If you have a bit more space then google "pop up play pen" as there are loads on the market in different shapes.
