We go away for 10 weeks and that is over their top also. We told Saga and they checked it up with their brokers and we would have to pay the first £250 on  claim. Had to have good security ie. bolted doors, windows. Also have someone who could go in and check it once a week. They accepted us and were are onloy content insurance and sheltered acc. But we checked others and came up against the 60day rule of leaving it empty as ours would be 70 days.

The insurance firms put a 60 day on all the ones we checked on.
