Ratcatcher.....I know it wasn't any where near as bad but had a great time last summer in the camper with a brace on my leg....just made everyone else do everything!
Ours also has been sitting on the drive since September when we had to cut short our 6 weeks in France because of a family bereavement. Weather, work pressure (and we're retired!!) etc have all conspired to keep us at home.
And now I've another health problem with a shoulder problem. However, we're making plans for beginning of May and a long France break beginning in Autumn
I was speaking to a person in my village recently and he identified us as the one with the motorhome on the drive which never moved!!
Not good!
------------- Life's not a rehearsal..don't put it off DO IT NOW!
We now SORN for six months as we still need to work. That said my husband was unemployed for 18months,due to redundancy, until very recently and yet, as we didn't have any income coming in we couldn't afford to go away.....well we could afford it but couldn't justify spending money on leisure when job hunting and not earning. We are off to Germany for a month in three weeks and can hardly wait!
Complete newby here who is looking for our first camper van but feel I must ask.
Have you ever thought about renting them out to friends for weekends? Would that be feesable? The price to rent locally puts them out of our price bracket but would love a reasonably priced weekend away.

It could pay your tax for the year.
Think it through..have you done that?..Now don't it seem about the worst idea in the world?
