Having only been motorhoming for just over a year, we haven't gotten around to buying a thermal blind for the cab yet. Just wondered what people thought of interior vs exterior. We tend to be fair weather campers, so not much cold weather use (except when on drive in winter). Mainly want to reduce compensation in the cab. Also, are they are pretty standard size ? We have a vintage (1984) Talbot and assume that we'll find something to fit in either style. Comments gratefully received.

Next trip, Stowford Farm in Devon for the Practical Caravan/Motorhome rally !
you still get condensation with the internal screens, we've had both. the exterior are the best ones, we got fed up of having to wipe the screen when we had the internal type, even in summer it can get pretty cool and with breathing out in the night then you can get condensation.
Being new to a motorhome we had to make the same decision. I have to say I did not really pay much attention to internal blinds (perhaps I should have done!) but instead went for and external one from Taylor Made. Its reasonable easy to put on and I can fold down the front panel if we want more light during the day. I suspect its more bulky than and internal one. In the cold weather it certainly works at keeping the cold at bay from the front window.
But even in the coldest of weather you should have the front windows down slightly and the the rest at half mast ie, on their first lockable notch to reduce condensation, ie the same as you would at home, I have been doing and using this method passed to me years ago and we never suffer from what I would consider heavy condensation and we use our camper all year round regardless of temperature, chilly nights no problem there is nothing better than a cuddle to your loved one and a good bottle of red for company
