Have recently acquired a secondhand (2006) Swift Sundance 600 FB.
The leisure battery doesn't seem to take a charge and when I switch to L on the panel with no mains there is no 12v power. The engine battery is fine.
I had a local caravan engineer look it over and he couldn't find the leisure battery!
Any ideas??

What do you mean he couldn't find the battery?? Surely you must know where it is??,Under the bonnet/under one of the front seats/ in one of the outside cupboards/inside under a habitation seat/sofa. Or perhaps THERE IS NO BATTERY AT All.

If its on a Ducato base my guess is that the battery, if there is one, will be below a front seat like mine. Look for a panel with vents below the seats and the battery will be behind that. Sounds like your is either dead or if you are lucky is either disconnected or isolated.

Thanks K - will have a look - have opened the speces under the front seats -someone else suggested it might be under the floor at the front end of the van.

Tried under the seats - nothing there - found it eventually under a panel in the floor (under the carpet) in front of the cooker - now why didn't I think of looking there before???
There was an inline 30A fuse which had blown - replaced that and away we go....
will need to see how long the battery holds a charge now!
