Good evening all, I have allways found everyone elses problems a mind of usefull information. I am sure my question has come up in the past, I bought my first motorhome last August. Swift Kontiki 645. Over the moon with it, except for power on hills. Its the 2.8 JTD model. My question is. Has anyone had any exspirience of a remap or power upgrade. lots on the market and any help would be a great help. Thankyou all. Huggy
my talisman was a 2007 Peugeot jtd and I had mine remapped here on my drive and yes it sure made a difference, now I have had my transit based hobby 2.2 tdci and I have had this one remapped and it goes like the proverbial s... off a shovel and I just cannot get less than 31 to the gallon out of it driving it in all sorts of speed, but not exceeding 65 overtaking, I think it does help driving with the cruise control on. Do it you will not be sorry, I can let you know the lad that came over my house to do it if you wish.
Thank you for the comments, I will get a remap done. I think your chap in Liverpool might charge a kings ransom to come to South Wales, but Thank you for the offer.

get it remapped it will go like a train
An old thread I know, but am hoping that Silverwood will read this and get back to me.
The Peugeot 2.8HDI he mentions he has in his van is fitted to an Autosleeper Symbol I'm interested in buying in the next couple of days.
I think I need something that has significantly more grunt than the 2 litre petrol or very tame 1.9 & 2.5 diesels the put in these Autosleeper panel-van conversions, and would like to get advised if this 2.8HDI is the boy... re-mapped or not.
Is it something that'll take steep alpine hair-pinned passes and tiresome long Autobahns in it's stride, yet still return decent 60 mph MPG.
Who knows what?
Are you out there Silverwood?
I did that harleyjohn, and got a couple of replies. I just hoped that silverwood might pick this one up... as he seems to have some specialist suss on this particular non-turbo 2.8HDI engine.
Will be looking at it tomorrow and taking it for a wee test-drive.
