Large zipped waterproof awning bag, Saved a lot of stress and swear words
------------- Yesterday is already a dream and tomorrow is only a vision, but today well lived makes every yesterday a dream of happiness and every tomorrow a vision of hope.
oh dear nothing ever seems to fit back in the bag or box it came out of, we use large plastic laundry bags, make sure you don't roll the dogs up with the awning
------------- Live life to the full you are a long time dead
The trick, if there is one, is to keep an open side as you fold it up. I.E. somewhere for the air to escape as you roll it up.I bought a Vango tent once and had to phone their help line to get it back in the bag. (This is after 50 years camping)
Fold it into a long length but ensure the width is as long as the bag, if too short the roll will be too fat. Put both ends to the middle & roll as tight as poss. expelling air as you go. Then tie the bundle up with cord & it should fit in. Put the pole bag in afterwards, don't roll it up with the awning.
I would, like to see anyone get a Fiama privacy room back into its bag. If you can then I would happily buy you a pint (if, of course you can prove it is possible!)
Magic words would be ; let's get a bigger bag ! One of my first jobs was in a camping shop and I would hate having to get tents and sleeping bags back into there bags,
------------- Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.
To be honest repmac, if it's that tight in the bag, I'd just look at getting a bigger bag.
I bought a large "canvas" tool bag, from a Sunday market stall, for our porch awning(..I think it was about a fiver).
Don't forget,it's all very well practicing in the back garden when it's dry(ish) but it could be lashing down with rain and blowing a gale when you put it away for real..and then some exact "..right over left...left over right.." technique, may go straight out of the window!
