I have a leak on bathroom basin, it appears to be coming from waste pipe. It is a compass avantegarde. Anyone know how you get to the pipe that seems to be behind toilet. Do you have to take all the unit out, if so, how.
Is it blocked or leaking, I wonder. We thought we had a leak in our pipe - showed up as a damp patch in the carpet several feet away. In our Autosleeper Clubman, the sink tips up, the water drains away down the back. We unscrewed the whole sink unit like a picture frame, and found the drain was blocked with 20 years worth of Stuff from past owners. Not a pleasant job cleaning it out, but it solved the problem and the sink now empties with a satisfying gurgle. If you don't have that gurgle, you may have a blockage rather than a problem with the pipe.
Thanks for your replies but we solved the problem. The leak was from the hotwater tap, we replaced the taps last year but found it was leaking underneath, still had the old tap unit and I replaced the leaking bit with the part from the old tap. Problem solved. Knew it wasn't blocked because we have had the van from new and flush the drain out on a regular basis.
Still don't know how we dismantle the whole vanity unit but with problem solved, not too worried.
