You make these brash statements and then after a short time reality starts to kick in. I thought it would be a nice trip out for all the family and the van as Brean is a fab place to actually get onto the beach, the van is 3.5 ton .........how would it fair, any one tried it or is it a complete no, no!!
regards.
Every year there are reports of cars being swamped on brean sands,1 last week, some are caught out by the rapidly rising tides and others get stuck in the damp sand,I wouldn't go near it unless I had 4 wheel drive and certainly not 3.5 ton.
The above has info about parking and beaches in the area. It is an extremely dangerous bit of coast, when the tide goes out the mud/sinking sand is a killer, do not go anywhere near it.
Quite often motorhomes get stuck on wet rally fields due their heavy weight especially at the front end and have to be pulled off by a 4x4 so chancing going onto soft sand I would be extremely cautious. If you did get stuck and the tide comes in then I dread to think what the consequences would be and I doubt if the insurance would pay out under those circumstances.
Exmouth has a very long sea front, South Devon, and at the far end a place where a gazillion people stick motorhomes with just a wall between you and the sea.

I think it was Weston Super Mere where the beach is signposted as a car park, so maybe the people operating the car park would be liable? I prefer to park on Tarmac or grass!
