The wheel arches need doing on the Transit.We have used Jenolite in the past on our other van.Mart has seen something £25 for a litre that adds a polymer coating??
Any recomendations of which rust remedy and the best way please

I also use Jenolite which is ok but not convinced it's the best. I will be interested to see the comments. My mk1 Caddy pickup needs constant attention.

It all depends on how bad it is?

The best & only way to get rid of the "rust bug" is remove it.

If its light you could just get away with rubbing it down with a sander, fill, prime & paint. Too the other end of the scale & just cut it out & weld in new arches. either way you really need to remove all of the rust.

Don't for get if you just cover it over it will still rust from the other side.

Mostin knows what he/she is talking about.
Once the rust starts you will be chasing it all around the bodywork.
Cut it out to stop further spreading and weld in another wheel arch panel.
But like most things it comes down to whether it is worth the cost.
If it's just a cover up job you might be able to some wheel arch covers (in nice shiny chrome)check Ebay

Hi.Mart bought 'Rustcoat' its a rust convertor.It was £30 for 5 liters.It does eat the rust and coat it in a ploymer.We got ours local Howse Paints.
