If we buy a Transit van that"s had a home conversion to a camper van how do we go about insuring it?We were once advised that you needed a "safety certificate" to confirm that all appliances had been safely installed in order to get insurance.Does anybody know of any insurance companies that don"t insist on this?Supposed to be viewing the van tomorrow so would really appreciate any help!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As well as Shield, there's also Adrian Flux. When my old insurers told me I would need an Engineers Report for our home conversion, we changed to them, been with them 3 years now, and haven't needed a report or certificate yet. (touches wood)!
check with the coop that they are covering the conversion - have heard of people finding out that the coop were actually only covering the base vehicle
