Ours is the same..and as has been suggested above, if you want to rinse with "chemical" you just have to use the hand-spray/"toilet duck" approach..
Personally, I can't see much in the way of advantages of this "tankless" system, to us the end user.
To my mind, along with these "swivel seats", it just seems like another way of simplifying/slimming down the "loo assembly" so that the converters can shoehorn them into ever small washrooms..
