I do not own a Symbol but it is super layout for a motorhome. We looked at a few examples in the past but decided on a Trigano Tribute at that time for it's extra length and storage. Our version had a very similar layout though to a Symbol. You will find it pretty easy to live with.
Ask your questions. You will almost certainly find some help on this forum
------------- cramming for my finals in the twilight zone
We are new to owning a Symbol too so you are not alone....and up until recently had grown to love it; however, be warned, I have a very nasty neighbour who is threatening court action if it is not removed from my driveway, go figure - so my advice is to read your property deeds if you are thinking of keeping it at home because you could end up with a hefty legal fee if there is a covenant grey area. Good luck and happy holidays

I think you will find that covenants forbidding the parking of caravans in drives do not apply to motorhomes or campers which are motor vehicles & could be your daily driver anyway.
Your neighbour is probably bluffing anyway. Most covenants preventing parking of caravans/boats in driveways on private housing estates were applied by the builder to keep estate looking tidy while houses were being sold & once builders have left they are not interested in enforcing it. & it is only whoever applied covenant that can enforce it...not your neighbour.
If the Symbol has road tax on it then provided there are no parking restrictions then it can be left of the road, Ask neighbour which he prefers. Incidently you are welcome on the AutoSleepers Owners forum.
Thank you all for your responses, they were very much appreciated....good news is the nasty neighbours have moved!! Justice served...we are enjoying Peugeot Boxer Symbol in all its glory.
Just been all around the highlands of Scotland and then Wales. Glad to know we are not alone out there - thank you for the support x
An Off Topic comment...but we had a 2003 Duetto(I think similar to the Symbol, only Transit based)..a great little van..
My advice would be, don't do as we did and let yourself get "tempted" into thinking that you "need" something bigger...
We switched to coach-built MHs and although our last "proper" van was a lovely piece of kit(fixed bed, fixed table, separate shower "cubicle" etc etc), at the end of it all, we look back and wish we had stuck with the Duetto....
We seriously considered the Duetto. After looking at various ones we kept coming back to Autosleeper generally and the Duetto in particular - the beds in the Symphony just didn't seem long enough (we prefer singles lengthways to a transverse double & the Duetto bed was just that bit longer as the van is slightly longer). As it happens we couldn't find a Duetto in good enough condition rust-wise within our price range and we came across the van we have, an Autosleeper Talisman GL moncoque on a Talbot Express 2.0 petrol, at the right price and in excellent condition (anyone who works on it comments on how good its condition is).
It's been a few years since we had our Duetto(sold 08-09?) but thinking back now,I seem to recall the bed needing an infill cushion(s), which when not being used as part of the bed, had to be stored somewhere? (ie, they didn't form part of the settee)...and this always struck as me as a bit of a design flaw..
..incidentally, I stumbled across our old van on ebay the other day ...
