Campervan seats fine for sitting on but not comfy to sleep on ! Dreamtime memory foam mattress toppers on a special offer just now in the Factory Shops, but are they much good ?
They're only 2.5cm thick so I'm not convinced they'll help that much for anyone a bit heavier especially. Hoping some of you have some experience of them & can advise :)
We brought a memory foam mattress from home to use on top of our double airbed. (Tent camping, not a motorhome, sorry!). It's 60mm thick and made a huge difference to getting a good nights sleep. We rolled it up tightly and tied it into a roll about a foot in diameter by five feet long.
Yes, had one in the caravan and they are very comfy to sleep on, but it was such hard work putting it away every day in the small space that was allocated to it that we got rid of it!!!
Me and my other half are of the er um larger persuasion and we have just brought one of these toppers as we found the seats/bed in the Esterel very hard. It was sooooo comfy we didn't actually want to get out of bed. It comes in a bag which does make it quite bulky but without this you can squeeze it down quite a bit smaller. Though I wouldn't recommend putting it in a vac bag for long periods as it will flatten it out.
I have been using a topper in most of our caravans and now use them in our MH. I have osteo arthritis and find the seats too hard for me so we've picked some nice but hard wearing sheets that co-ordinate well with interior of MH, thus omitting the need to roll up the toppers and i get a comfy seat to sit on.
Hope u get things sorted to your needs and as RTS5 I was built for comfort not speed so need my seat to be comfortable lol.
