When on ECU does this charge not only the leisure battery but also the vehicle battery?
If so, is it advisable to put on charge say once a month
during the slack season for 24hours,or disconnect the negative on the vehicle battery?
Many thanks

Presumably to mean EHU? If so, it's only the leisure battery that is usually charged. Putting the batteries on monthly charge is a good idea, as letting them go flat is a definite no-no.

Not always, depends on the MH. Our Hymer charges both engine and leisure battery when on EHU, so it depends on the system in the OP's MH.
But regardless of that, it is always advisable to charge both batteries regularly when the MH is not being used. Not a good idea to let either of them discharge, and expensive too!
