My father bought a 2007 model, but there is no manual. Any help much appreciated there is a rocker switch that says pump on it but he does not think that is related to the Alde heating system. thanks

I would say its for the water pump when on battery power.
If the rocker switch is 3 way it may say "van"on it.This setting is for when on EHU.

Hi

.."IF" the switch in  incorporated in the main control panel, then as Jeff says, it's probably the water pump..

(..but that would've been easy enough to fathom that out, with a bit of button pushing..so it  maybe it isn't that then..?)

As you/he hasn't got any handbooks, it would be worth contacting Burstner and seeing if they could supply something?   http://www.burstner.co.uk/

(..or if bought from a dealer, chase them up and get them to source some )

It may also worth just having a search online, to see if there are any PDFs available..?

yes it is, when you switch pump on it circulates hot water from the alde heating system around engine, so if your in extreme cold weather, easier starting and warm up.

We have one and love it! I can confirm what lewisturn said re the pumpe switch! I did find PDF copies that I downloaded of the electrobloc, there may be others. We have a sort of manual it's not great! But I might be able to help you with other questions.

Hi Peachy123, we have a 05 plate 747,
the pump is used to circulate the coolant/heater fluid round the van when travelling. on ours under the seat looking forward, there is a pump with a valve on top. twist it. the heat supply then comes from the engine instead of the boiler. that is where the "pump" comes in, to recirculate the fluid round the van. very good if travelling through france. -12c. so when you stop and fire the boiler up, fluid and van already warm.
I hope this helps.
bostonjack.
