He would want it on his premises he has a forecourt with caravans and motorhomes for sale, I'm sure he would buy it from you but at a lower price than he could get you selling it on commision, he sells a lot of vans, its a long established buisness, ive never bought or sold with him but have stored our caravan there for years and find him an ok guy to deal with, never herd any thing bad about him.
VangoMan02 - many thanks for your help. I totally appreciate your comments. I would far prefer to sell it privately because I think I'll get nearer to my asking price. I'm just not blessed with patience lol!
Tartan-tearaway - thanks again. It's an option, should I get to the stage I really need to shift it. It's good to know I have options.
They amuse me these 'we buy/want your... whatever' adverts. Yes, they will buy it, but for a derisory sum.
I sold our motorhome last January in the thick of winter after four days ads on Caravan-selector. I got about a grand less than i wanted, but the buyer found one or two legitimate faults - which i didnt realise were there. So we were both happy with the deal.
I wouldnt dismiss all dealer offers though. It really depends what your circumstances are and how much you are prepared to take (or lose!). We sold pur Bongo to a dealer who contacted me through gumtree. I had a price in mind I really wanted and a price I was prepared to take if push came to shove. At the time I just wanted it gone so I could move on and Bongo was starting to show signs of wear and tear that needed attention and MOT/insurance/tax were all about due. So we sold to a dealer at our lower end price but sold it quickly and hassle-free. Guy came with us to our bank and put money in there and then.

Yes I used buy my motorhome .com
I bought it from them 18 months previous for 18k,when we sold it they sent a local rep round to estimate a selling price which they set at 19.5k The produced a buyer in 2 weeks & agreed a price of 19k of which they took 10% leaving me with 17.5k.they did all the advertising & money exchange. Personally I was very happy with them.
you could try talking to Richard on 01623631102
they would seem to have 2 methods of buying . Either out right or arranging a sale for 10% of the sale price
