Hi
as anyone got any experience of the Autosleeper Topaz? We are still looking into a suitable motorhome to downsizw from our lovely Swift Kontiki, now that there are only the two of us using the van.
We looked at the Nu Venture Rio, lovely van but not enough storage space.
What are your views on the Topaz?
thanks!

Hi
The Autosleeper Topaz is a lovely van but it is very compact. We had an Autosleeper Duetto and seriously considered a Topaz but we realised we would struggle for space. It is narrow so you can't really sleep across the van so need to take infill cushions. There is no oven just a grill. Also the Topaz bench seats are really narrow so not the most comfortable to lounge in even for us at 5'6". If you are changing from a larger van it may not suit you although it is a lovely van.

We changed to an Autosleeper Stratford which is around 5.4 metres (medium wheelbase) and find it fine although we do pack minimal and only carry chairs etc when we will use them ie Summer and using the right site.

Have a look online and find a dealer and go and have a good look round. Todd's at Preston is good as it is indoors so no worries about the weather or there is a show at Newark in March.

Look at the trigano tribute 650, I have downsized from a hobby siesta 650 to one and it ticks all the boxes for space/large fridge/oven/grill/ good size wardrobe and definitely good size double bed or 2 singles.

Many thanks to both of you for your speedy and detailed replies! from what you say i think i will be too small for us as we are not small people ourselves and take our 3 dogs with us! will look at the trigano too but might have to go back to other idea of an Autotrail tracker . completely different van i know but maybe not such a big jump in size down from current van?
thanks once again for taking time to reply.
