Hi

I have a 1999 version of the above and recently was unable to get any power through the 12v wiring to the zig control panel. I have established (through wiring the leisure battery direct to the panel resulting in everything working) that the fault lies somwhere between the battery and control unit.

I have been advised there could be a fuse near the battery but having followed the wire from the leisure battery under the van as far as I could, nothing seems to be there (nor any breaks etc in the cable)

If anyone has any suggestions as to where a fuse may be (or any other bright ideas about what may cause this fault) I would be grateful for any  tips as our firsts trips of the year are imminent!

Yes, I wired the battery direct to the zig and power came through as normal. Having looked at a couple of other forums the fuse or relay seem to be the answer (tho there could be a wire problem i suppose tho all the wire/cable I can see appears to be ok.

Have tried emailing Leisuredrive and am hoping for a call next week  due to the relevant person being on holiday and this may shed some light on the elusive fuse location!

Have you 12 volts when you have 240 volts from an EHU if not it sounds like a zig problem if you have it suggest the in line fuse to the battery

Hi Tarby

Yes when I have hook up on I can get power from 240v sockets but still nothing from the 12v, however as mentioned earlier I wired the leisure battery directly to the zig  and intantly got intereior lights and pump working as normal.

As you suggest I think it may be a fuse, but this is where my problem is, as there isnt a fuse anywhere in sight!! though various people have said there should be one (probably an in-line one) near the battery but it remains totally elusive!!

It maybe in the 12 volt consumer unit if so it would be a 15 to a 20 amp.you could ring the manufacturers and talk to the technical service dept there usually helpful.

I agree with tarby, some chargers do have inbuilt fuses to protect various components, its worth a look, my trigano is like that, but they are easy to get to and visible

Hi Tarby & wineciccio thanks for your help and interest.

Still cant find any fuses but having it narrowed down a bit is a great help. Waiting for a call from Leisuredrive next week that may get me even closer but have also booked it in to a camper repairers for the end of the month to be on the safe side, as  we're doing our first continental trip - well only 3 nights in Belgium - 4 weeks tomorrow and really need to get it sorted!
