For many years we had been caravanners and usually spent our summer holidays in France. With some wonderful driving roads over there we decided to swap the caravan for a motorhome so that we could take the Caterham to France and have not regretted it.
Alsace here we come again this year after the Le Mans Classic
I think Mr VWT4Transporter you might need something a little bit bigger to tow a Bugatti Veyron
I bought a Combi Camp trailer tent and had an engineer build a towbar assembly for the rear of my Cobra so this year were off to Anduze in the Cob towing the trailer tent. POWER !!!!!!!
Just as a matter of interest, how do you tow the Caterham? A frame ?
Can I ask Sdc77 which trailer he has for his Skoda Citigo, I've just bought a vw up and am trying to find a trailer, looked at Brian James and Smart-Trailer also Hedley but would appreciate some advice
I have my own version of a 7 and intend to tow it around Europe when I retire, I have towed a camp let behind the 7 for a touring holiday last year and covered 3000 miles in Spain, Portugal and France.

We use a caravan when helping out on campsites but there is no way I would want to use one on the road, I prefer a Motorhome.
Quality of build, we have a Hymer, it is quieter-in rain/sleet/hail.
It is warmer, better insulated, and we like to use the Aires abroad which is something you can't do with a Caravan!
We tow a Peugeot 107 behind our 2001 Hymer.
We got a honda vision in December and a carrier on the motorhome. Can't wait to get out on it in France and Spain.
I wanted the fireblade but she wouldn't allow it 😔
