Our Danbury VW Campervan is 2and half years old. 9,000 miles only, seviced as warranty requires every 6 months.
Today our starter motor has broken and Danbury says it is not covered under the 3 year warranty.
Beware
What reason do they give, what does the small print say? I assume this is a Brazilian import so not covered by VW UK warranty, yes? If its the later water cooled engine then its the old type 1.4 Polo engine & starter motors are not that expensive. GSF or Eurocarparts do them.
I've never worked on one of these vans but if starter motor is easy to get to then fitting should only be an hours labour.
Small print apparently.
Pretty sick that Danbury will not stand up and cover a starter motor still within 3 year warranty.
Have bought new cars for far less than the Danbury that cost £34,000 and other makes are very good about warranty problems.
I know the repair will not cost me an arm and a leg but it's the principal .
Boo Hoo Danbury
