Hi Mary. I have an Auto-sleeper Symbol. Very similar and I love it. Where abouts do you live?

Hi there, silly me we actually bought a Symbol not a symphony! We live in Cornwall, we used it last weekend but we had a problem with the water, don't know if you can help but we filled up the fresh water tank and turned on the pump and water came out of the tap, no problem. However when the tank was 3/4 full we couldn't draw any water out of the tap, the pump was working, just no water coming out of the tap....any ideas?

Have a look on the The Auto Sleeper Owners Forum.   Your water problem was probably due to air in the system.

Hi again, Mary.

I'm not technically minded like dodger so you'd best do what he says.

I can only help you with internal decoration and pretty things

Are you planning on coming Dorset way anytime? Would be happy to meet up and compare notes.

The Autosleepers Owners Forum is a very useful site.

When I had a caravan, the handbook said that when you first switch the water on, turn the hot tap in the bathroom on full and wait until it stops spluttering out any air and runs freely, then turn on the hot tap in the kitchen, then the cold taps. I still follow this in my van (which is a Symphony). I don't know why the order you turn them on makes a lot of difference but it seems to work.

Hi Mary,
Had to sell my beloved Talbot Autosleeper (F Reg) last autumn as I couldn't afford the welding bills any more but he was ancient so he didn't owe me anything, as they say! I used to get my insurance through 'Insurance Choice' a dedicated insurer, and I always found them quite reasonable.

Like Dodger148 I would also recommend the Autosleeper Owners Forum, really supportive folks with lots of sage advice.

Wishing you many happy adventures in your Autosleeper - great little vans, I think you will enjoy every minute. x
