Hi,
I'm caring for Brother in law with dementia and have just been offered a respite break in June (16th~26th) as his older sister is in UK for holiday and wants to see him
I'm disabled and solo (widowed and living the dream for us both) I need to stay where I can use EHU to charge my power chair.
Preferably somewhere with interesting Town/Village or railway station easily accessible from site in my chair as 21" motor home is to big to take out daily
I'm with C&CC but have no idea (other than Moreton Dorset my usual stay) where to go.
I'm in Rainham Kent and trip to Moreton which should take me 31/4 hours takes me 6~6.5 hours. Ideally don't want to drive much more than that.
Would welcome any ideas as to places to visit please.
Lucy

Hi Lucy, I see you joined  UK Campsite in 2013. I presume that since that time you have not just used the forum, have you been on to the site directory pages?. It is very easy to use. I always search for new sites, to me, using the  'by town' option. That way you are given any number of sites, either local to you or indeed as far from you that you feel will be manageable. Searching for a place 'by town' will give you many options to choose from. You would be able to look at the reviews of other members on here, and some of us can be very honest about the sites. I hope this will have opened up a further choice for you. Come back on when you have had a look at your replies to the original question, and tell us all how you are getting along with your plans for your well earned break. Enjoy is all I can suggest as Kent is not my county

Hi,
Shortly after I joined Mac started to get lost when out :~( We changed Drs. and straight away got a diagnosis. Since then I've been fighting to get care support for him as I'm simply not strong enough on my own :~(
That's now in place....1.5 hours a day!!! Which means I can use this forum! :~)) Will check your suggestion and get back with decision thanks :~)

Lucy

Scotts Farm in the Witterings, south of Chichester has easy access to variety of interesting local shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs and sea views.

Can't guarantee the sun, sorry.

Enjoy your break, wherever you go. You sound like you deserve it.

You might like to look at the c&cc site at St Neots.. Close enough to the town and facilities for your scooter and a very nice site on the River when the weather good

My wife is disabled - we use a few sites in Devon that are 'mobility scooter friendly' etc - but guess you don't want to travel this far - especially in mid June?

Hope you get the break (and weather!) that you so surely deserve.
