We are looking to buy an awning for our Trigano Silver 310[dinky poptop]. The previous awning that we had for our Fleurette didn't fit this van so we sold it.

The awning rail height is 180cm so a motorhome driveaway would seem to be the best option.

My query is that many of them, including the inflatable ones that we favour, have sewn in groundsheets. How do we get round the breathable groundsheet requests that we have at most of the sites we visit?

I personally don't favour sewn in groundsheets, unless you have an inner tent within the standalone awning, which can be lifted out of the way during the day, and allow the grass to breathe.

Breathables don't hold the mud and water in like a sewn in one. Also, you can pick it up, drag it out, give it a bit of a shake, and put it back without having to dismantle the awning.

I don't think that was the answer you wanted??

Thanks, I am finding it difficult to source an awning that will fit our low awning rail that doesn't have a sewn in in groundsheet. We had a breathable groundsheet with the previous awning but to buy a new awning for our present van (which is tiny & with the low awning rail) will cost almost £1000.
