Also have a Taylormade ext screen on my ducato. Only downside is the cover tends to lift away from the side windows, especially if windy thus much reducing the insulating effects. This is despite using the small velcro strip that is attached to base of side mirror.
A solution would be to fit a couple of rubber suckers thru' side sections. We may do this before winter trips later this year.
I mentioned this to Taylor & co. on phone - his only comment was 'no-one else has ever complained' ... The screens are quite expensive so was somewhat surprised that they didn't seem to welcome customer feedback?
Would be interested if they have since improved the design when you fit yours Patio!

Iggycamper,
Please don't take this the wrong way.
We have had two sets of taylormade screens used across three different motorhomes and have not had that problem even in high winds.
Could it be that you have a bad set? Perhaps compare with somebody else next time on site?
Paul
WE have a Taylormade screen and use it all year round. We have the slightly longer one that covers the vents on the bonnet of our Bailey.
Iggycamper, I am pretty sure you can buy extra magnets which Velcro onto the screen and then the magnet sticks to the vehicle door. Might that solve your problem?
David: The fit is good on all the metal parts as well as the windscreen; 'tis only where the screen is against the side widow glass there is a problem so guess magnets would not help - as well as being something else to lose!
Paul: The screens seem to fit OK (size wise) but do billow out in a wind. I did a quick check on other similar vans (latest Ducato shape) with same screens on sites over the last year and many seemed to have the same problem if windy. (yes it was me 'peeping!) In fact some hadn't even fitted the velcro strips under the side mirrors! The Taylormades also have a strip that just hangs down in line with the door handle - I wonder if that was an afterthought fixing point like the velcro strips?
On our previous 2 vans we used same set of 'Silver screens' - don't recall them ever being a problem even after several years of 'stretching'. (Only thought there is that was on the earlier Ducato van where the shape of lower part of mirrors was better for holding screen in place.)
Can only surmise that most folks either don't notice,(present company excepted of course!) don't camp on windy sites, or just don't worry like me - well into my Victor Meldrew life phase!
Guess not such a big deal anyway - it's just that sometimes my previous technical engineering life surfaces to cause minor details to seem major!
Back to the red wine in the sunshine!

Just ordered from silver screen very nice gentleman explained everything to me as we are new to motor homes.
Phoned and emailed taylormade no reply.
On other forums I noticed one or two folks having problems with Velcro around wing mirrors and got not a very nice reply from them that's why I went for silver screen. 🚍
