ok guys and girls another question to drive you all mad....I have heard about fitting satellite dishes or domes as aerials on motorhome for better recepetion,does anyone have any experience here please....thanks in advance....

yes a satellite dome will set you back around a £1000 or more and a larger automatic satellite dish typically 85cm will cost in the region of £1800 .
Dome are very limited as they only have small internal dishes typically 45cm where as the larger 85cm dishes have a better reception further into Europe

My sat system cost £39 from lidl/aldi years ago and works fine.
People are still selling them on eBay.

It's a Tevion. Popular brand in Germany.
I have the aerial cable wired through my gas bottle locker and it takes me less than 4 minutes to set up. Yep, I timed it one day....
Given up trying to break the 3 minute barrier though!

I too use a tevion set up and find that the satfinder that came with it does the job fine. One thing Idid do was mark the side of the dish mounting bracket so that the angle is set for uk You may find if you do that motley you can break the 3 minute barrier

I have a tv and what you call an aerial dome (automatic) and it is wonderful. Bought it in Holland for 1650.00 with a special card to reveive all the channels
