Hello all,looking at a mk1 vw caddy with truckman top rear canopy,the height is approx 6ft at the rear,does anyone recommend an easy to use drive away awning thanks.

I can't offer any suggestions I'm afraid, but I'm curious to know why they are also called Rabbit Pickups, any idea?

They were called a Rabbit in North America. The Caddy name was first used when they were released in Europe in 1982. Why Rabbit? Don't know.

Our Caddy is a 1988 and still going strongly. It's used as an everyday driver and a great vehicle. Could do with another actually.

Can't help with the awning.

It would be worth your providing your required sizes(overall height & width)and then maybe those with drive-aways would be able to say if theirs look likely to be suitable.?

Thanks all for your replies,as it such an old vehicle,nothing jumps out at you,a mate is a the vw show at malvern and is going to kerp an eye out for me,but l like the look of the kampa travel pod xpress,mite work if the truck dosent make silly money on ebay.Cheers
