After spending many hour trying to get European breakdown cover for my 1991 peugeot pilote without any luck I finally got cover with Drive24/7at just £60 sounds to good to be true hope it isn't .
Provided they will tow you to the nearest local garage, in France at least you shouldn't have any trouble getting an old Peugeot fixed. Be aware though that although they offer repatriation of vehicle in some circumstances you can come unstuck as it is not as some believe, an automatic ticket home for you van in case of major breakdown.
You might have spare gearbox in your garage at home but if your van is towed to a local garage abroad & garage offers to fit new gearbox for £3000 then your breakdown cover will see that as a solution & not repatriate van even if you could repair it for a fraction of that figure if you could get it home. Read your small print carefully.
I have just looked at their website and it categorically states vehicles in the 5.5 meters length I take it and motorcycles in the 2.9 I think I got it right, so I would think twice before buying their policy, its cheap if you drive a small camper, but the average motorhome is 5.9m to maybe 7m, maybe they would accept a bigger vehicle by phone I do not know.
