When my Aqua 8 pump is running, it's very noisy, but the main noise seems to be coming from the rear of the MH. The pump is centrally mounted and a check assures me it's not loose.
Is there anything between the pump and the facilities it feeds that could cause the noise?
Thanks.
Vibrations come to mind, check if the hose/s at rear are loose/touching somewhere, if so then just use a few tywraps to tighten them to some thing,or else use those stcky large pads from maplins
Cheers, I'll do that. I was thinking if disconnecting the pipe from the pump to the collector, get a container underneath and get someone to quickly open and close a tap. If the noise continues,, it's the pump.
Could be messy though!...
Perhaps you could try to isolate the pump from the MH (by removing the pipe from the pump, operate a tap while the pump is in the tank) and see if the noise is still there, then you know is the pump. Sometimes you get noise from the Non return valves behind the water filter.
------------- I came with nothing and managed to keep most of it.
A little update maybe for future reference. I removed the feed pipe from the pump to the rear facilities, put a jug under the pump outlet, ran it, nice and quiet! Replaced the pipe, still quiet.
Must have been an airlock, possibly ran out of water at one time?
Whatever. Happy now.
Now about this noisy battery charger!.....lol
