Happened to us this year: we're insured with Comfort, but were told that, as the windscreen would be too big to fit on the drive, we had to take it to one of Autoglass's locations. Apparently they use a special machine for big A Class windscreens.
As for a cap on cost: with Comfort it is, in our case anyway, £3000, cost of the windscreen was £2650, so just within. Amazing what they cost. they told us Carthago A Class ones can cost £8000. Hard to believe really, how do they justify that?
