Fiat are offering Ducato-based motorhome owners,Free of Charge, a solution to the problem in March. - It consists of a diagnostic "fix" that switches the instrument panel lighting on with the ignition / running lights.            My query is this - What about the owners of Citroën Relay /Peugeot Boxer-based motorhomes? Essentially they are the same vans coming out of the same SEVEL factory in Italy. The dashboard is the same as the Ducato's, so the same problem exists!

This problem also affects Fiat Doblo's plus the speedo is very small so a 1mm move on the needle is something like 4mph. looking to put some kind of light in the cowling. its even worse in sunlight and wearing sunglasses, its just a black hole! will have to look into the diagnostic fix.

Its the fake chrome bezels block my line of sight to the top scales , about 30 MPH !!!! and some of the natural light. Angled my clocks up to compensate. The lighting fix is same as lights on so quite dim. And won't get those bezel rings out of the way.

Very odd this. I have a 2015 Boxer based campervan. I am 6'2" and have no trouble seeing the speedo. Must be a Fiat thing. I do know the seat, or swivel is a touch lower in the Boxer. I can see out of the windscreen, where I had difficulty on the two Fiat motorhomes I have owned.

I'm also 6'2" but perhaps longer in the back than most that height. Top of the screen is a little low but acceptable. Top seat belt anchor is slightly too low. Given a chance the belt slides down my shoulder. I can not see why the factory would have different height seat frames. Then again perhaps a no cost option for camper builds that are destined to fit the inch thick swivel base. Perhaps there's a higher base option for converters who put the leisure battery under it as in my Fiat?

Do the Pug and Citroen versions have the fake chrome bezels on the instruments that put the two clocks down dark tunnels? Like a big pair of spectacles stuck on the curved glass front.

Is Fiats work round to put the lights on full time just software via the diagnostics port (OBD)? Or will they be changing the actual clocks? Hate the idea of them taking my dashboard to bits. Might have to let them as the smaller km/h scale was useless on the continent last year.
