This may be a stupid question, we are just about to buy a second hand Baiey Escape motorhome from a dealer in Coventry who sold the van as new to the previous owner and cannot understand why the van was registered in Northamptonshire. Any idea why?

Dealers will normally use their 'local' DVLA office to register a new van.

Not sure which one for Coventry but would have thought Northampton a bit distant!

Note that the actual reg no. first 2 letters should also indicate where first registered?
