Iggy have to confess I've just read your profile! YES to dogs, walking and folk music!!! Do you get to any of the festivals (OH said we needed a fixed bed this time so we can roll in from late concerts and not have to make up the bed!)He forgets that I still have to do the last dog walk!
Yes - Cassie the spaniel is no. 1 in my life - even ahead of the MH and our house! (Oh - my OH is pretty important too!)
Not doing festivals much but usually take guitar with us in the 'van. Any suggestions for festivals in 2015 appreciated - but am less keen on driving a FWD ducato on muddy fields these days!
Hope have not given too much publicity to Pembs btw - keeping Barafundle bay secret!
P.s. Don't tell the others but Cassie won first prize for obedience in the fun dog show at the Practical Motorhome Rally at Stowford, Devon last May. Maybe going back to defend her title this year!
P.p.s. Way off topic but you started it!
Warranty at Davan sounds good - hope you don't need it. Haven't heard anything bad about them btw!
------------- The older I get the better I used to be.
Thanks for all the positive comments - we've put a deposit on one from a dealer in Somerset. Decided not to PX our old one, we'll have to sell that privately. OH collecting it Friday 20th. SOOO excited - Scotland here we come again (but not til September!)
Iggycamper - come to Fishguard Folk festival, only small and v. cheap and we can dog walk together ;)
I have a 745 & have the following tips.
CAK tanks supply a flat profile wheeled waste tank which will fit under the waste outlet. I use a short length of flexible waste hose and a rigid waste elbow to connect as it's a bit easier & it works very well. I also carry a 30l aqua roll for top ups. Both fit nicely in the bed locker with the aqua roll on top of the tank.
If you are on a serviced pitch a few metres of flexible waste pipe to reach the drain is a must.
Another useful bit of kit is the watering can, useful for filling the toilet flush tank or topping up the aqua roll if you need the exercise!
With regard the Aires or Stellplatz like some of you we are ex caravaners so it is strange but the advantages outweigh the disadvantages and we tend to use them for touring then have a few days on sites for maintenance. (Washing clothes etc)
Hope this helps.
