If you mean 3.9kg Calor propane bottles they are most popular for blowlamps used by tradesmen etc so you are more likely to find them at builders merchants that supply Calor. As pointed out 6kg propane, particulary the new lite bottles are most popular for motorhomes/caravans but there is a shortage of those as well, I think.
That was the light ones Wineciccio - caused even more distress and harassment in our local supplier apparently. They have a list as long as your arm of people to contact when they get stock. Seems they order them every week but just don't get any
We have only one local supplier Billy - we live in the sticks so most things we have to travel for.
I will have a look at the 6kg Baldeagle - the gas cupboard just might be tall enough - thanks for the suggestion.
We have just changed ours . After waiting since last August . But they said don't worry continue to use untill it is empty . .
I replaced our old one to the normal heavy one . We were going to get two light weights .
Can't you get gas from a caravan supplier . They sell them as well .
Or just don't get a light weight . Vans and motor homes are made for these .
'mags' - Loads of calor lites now available in Devon following the shortage after the recall etc. Thought your New Star should take bigger than a 3.9kg btw!
Note:
Some folks call the calor lite a 6kg, others say 11kg -
depending whether full or empty I guess.
Anyway you soon be cooking on gas!
