...and failing that, have you a caravan/motorhome accessory outlet nearby? somewhere you could just have a close up look at what it is you may be feeling? (..ooer missus!   ).
Having said that, if you can't get at it to see it, have you thought how you are you going to get to reach it in order to tighten or renew it?...
