We have a Thetford model 250 installed on our Chausson motorhome, the flush has decided it no longer wants to work. The water is taken from the main tank via the water pump fitted.
The water system is full and all taps, shower, etc work, with the pump coming on when the taps are turned on.
I have replaced the fuse in the compartment beneath the toilet itself and checked all connections as far as I can.
I do have a voltmeter but am unsure as to which wires I should be checking for voltage, etc.
Any ideas?

Thanks.

Steve.

My husband reckons there is a solenoid that opens to allow the water through, it probable that has stopped working if every else seems ok.

Could be a micro switch not engaging the pump - does the flush work when another tap is running (i.e.. the pump is already engaged).

If your toilet flush isn't working it with be the micro switch it's a simple fix, but if none of your taps are working then the power supply at the main aux switch has blown a fuze or there is a wire off near your water pump I'd go for the fuze first,

Good morning.
So, changed fuse, solenoid, pcb behind push button and still nothing. Checked wiring as best I can without taking the whole of one side of the van out, so now lost as to what to do. Everything else in the van works as it should and all main fuses correct.
Taps and shower work ok, toilet flush still does not work even when they are switched on and water is flowing.
Now at a loss, feel it is a power thing, but cannot trace it.

Hi,

Just had a similar problem with the toilet in my my.

I took out the pump, look at the bottom and you will see the shaft and pump spinner rotate same with a screwdriver or plyers to ensure its not seized.

Mine was, all fine now till next time.

On some models the pump won't work if the waste cassette isn't fitted and making the fail safe type switch is operated.

My MH is 28/9 years old and it appeared the toilet bits are original so it's worth 20mins or so to fiddle with the pump, saves £25/30 on a new one!

Cheers

Boots

Did you have the electric for the lights on?
