"The blue fluid, Aqua Kem Blue, is the most powerful and best-selling toilet additive, for the waste-holding tank, in the world. Aqua Kem Blue stimulates the breakdown of waste, prevents gas build up and keeps the waste-holding tank smelling fresh. This is why Aqua Kem Blue is the overall KCK-test winner against eleven competitor products! The blue fluid also comes in the form of highly concentrated, pre-measured sachets: Aqua Kem Sachets. All the quality and benefits of our best-selling toilet fluid, in a very easy to use method.

The green fluid, Aqua Kem Green, like Aqua Kem Blue, is a toilet additive for the waste-holding tank that reduces gas build up and supresses unpleasant smells. However, Aqua Kem Green is environmentally conscious and is suitable for disposal into septic tanks."

- from Thetford site.

You may come across sites which ask you to use the more environmentally-friendly fluid (of whatever make) to avoid killing the bacteria in their particular disposal .
system, though, short of standing over you while you pour it away, I don't know how they'd check, so I think you'd be on trust to do so.

Blue is your regular toilet chemical, Green is very similar but you can empty in septic tanks - enviro friendly.

If you do empty non enviro blue into sceptic tanks it can cause them to block / smell and cost owners a fair amount to sort out - as Bob says though its very unlikely anyone would check on you.

I have started to use WALEX tablets, have found they keep the toilet container fresh to a full container. Yes, full I forgot as it was smelling fresh, whereas before I changed when it was too much for HID.

Surely its more responsible to use the green if you are required by the site owner. Killing the septic tank will cost the site who will probably charge everyone more to cover the cost. Also a septic tank not working is not one to be close to.
Be responsible and do as asked don't cheat the site.

having worked in the vsewage industry i would say dont use either . both arent good for sewage systems .
far better to wait till its nearly full then tip it . but dont wash the inside out . keep it live with bacteria .
maybe at the end of the season or if you are going to not use it for months give it a swill out.
if you stop washing it out its amazing after a couple of fills you should find it doesnt smell and tips easy.
i never use chemicals in mine .
i have had to sort out lots of campsite sewage works where you tipping of cassette toilets in the wrong place have messed up campsite works .even main sewage works dont want chemical toilets tipped in them . most go to special treatment works .

Surely I have been more than responsible by using 'Green' WALEX tabs that are Formaldehyde free! Its OK if you have wives who don't mind the smells, but, one has to accomodate the ones who object!!!!
