Hope I don't end up on one of these pitches where some MHer has dumped his foul water (let's call it what it is) onto the ground.

Filthy habit. IMHO

There was never a suggestion that they should do that. Read the thread...

By fhe pitches? Filthy habit and with the chemicals in washing up liquid polluting the environment is never warranted or permitted.

Not everybody on campsites uses waste water tank under caravan. If you only use your sink for hand washing & so on then its only water, nothing wrong with it on the ground.

Now it's not just water it's got pollutants in it's classified as foul water and belongs in a proper drain.

With motorhome if you can find somewhere to tip it do that, otherwise drive off with tap open will harm nobody, it's like peeing in bushes, sounds worse than it actually is

So it's OK to shed this polluted water all over the pitch,as you drive away and on the site. roadways and the highway?
No it's not and by the way, p**sing in the hedgerow will get you nicked and quite rightly.

The last part is the best bit and I'm afraid it will continue to be that way.
Once you have been here a few years you will see what I mean.

As with any forum, members that come here seeking help & guidance can easily separate the posts that contain the information useful to them from the faff, trolling & points scoring.

What like you suggesting it's OK for people to p**s in the bushes and dump their foul water anywhere they like?

Yep your right, there is s lot of faff and points scoring on here and a lot of it comes from you.

Look, let's have an armistice.

I will stop commenting on your posts if you stop commenting on mine.

OK?

Wow what have I started lol......in hindsight i've decided to invest in a grey waste container to dispose of the water on site,.....i've seen some that stow in a little bag so to keep my motorhome clean inside which was my main concern.
some very valid points made though on this thread...

Well, I don't believe this...

I have just arrived home for a nice weekend away, and it seems as though I have found a valid reason for emptying the grey water all over the floor.

I kid you not with this.... and I can't believe it myself considering this post, maybe it karma biting me in the bum.

Pulled off pitch this morning after packing up and drove to the dump point, our motorhome has got a drain pipe off the waste a bit like a washing machine drain waste pipe, it hooks up under the side skirt when not in use and has a small valve on the end. I got as close as I could to the drain but i knew it wasn't going to reach so connected my length of waste hose, it was about 6 inches short of reaching into the drain.

I left the hose on the floor and jumped in the cab to reverse a foot so it would reach, I then heard the wife shouting, and as it turned out I reversed over the pipe and wrecked it, the whole thing split and the contents of my waste tank emptied all over the floor. Luckily we had only been washing our hands etc in it, so it was pretty clean water!!

I now need to try and find a new one from somewhere as the hose is completely split!

If you haven't got caravan /motorhome accessory outlet nearby, it's worth checking out a garden centre that does pond stuff...

On a previous van, I added a short length of "pond" hose, inc' an additional  tap, to the drain of our freshwater tank...and it only cost a few quid.

Back to the original post; motorhome drainage points are often awkward to get onto so I carry a collapsible bucket, by Outwell I think, from Go Outdoors. It takes little storage space , but fits under the drain tap, and I am quite happy to take a few bucketfulls to the correct disposal drain.

I had a short length of hose i use to extend it, but it still wouldn't reach which is why I was reversing it back a little bit, still don't know what i was thinking leaving it on the floor behind the bloody wheel. Luckily its being serviced next week so this has been added to the list.

So there you have it dave - *50 ways to leave your water!

(Good post - shame about the 'less than polite' responses tho' hope this forum doesn't get like the other MH forums where the 'forum city fathers' can never just agree to disagree!)

*51 - forgot - just drive to S Spain and let it evaporate.

I'll get 'me coat.
